About Kottos Wrist Wraps

Even the best wrist wraps require a solid strategy.

What do Wrist Wraps Do?

Wrist wraps are here to help you become stronger. They are designed to help alleviate the tension off of the wrist joint by making it less mobile and allow you to focus more on your muscles at work.

The wrist is a condyloid joint that allows for flexion, extension, abduction and adduction. While we do want to become stronger everywhere, sometimes these smaller regions can lag behind and reduce the capacity for strength gains everywhere else. Kottos Wrist Wraps help stiffen the area to allow us to focus more on our biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, and back without having the opportunity for our wrists to fail.

Benefits of Wrist Wraps

Wrist wraps are not just for strength gains! While this is always a plus to help us get to the next level, Kottos Wrist Wraps are beneficial for those with arthritis, tendonitis, golfers elbow and tennis elbow!

How so?

Weakness in the motions of the wrist can cause inflammation in certain tendons that allow for flexion, extension, abduction and adduction. Wrist wraps help alleviate the tension on those tendons when exercising so you can focus more on your lift and less on your pain. They do NOT remove the inflammation.

When to Use Wrist Wraps

Kottos wrist wraps should not be used for every single set of every single exercise. The wraps are excellent for those top-sets and PRs where we may be deficient in our grip or wrist strength, but we have more in the tank with regards to our larger muscles. We encourage getting stronger everywhere, so please use our wrist wraps on top sets, and try to strengthen the weaker area on your accessory movements :)
